Auden Place Community Nursery

Auden Place Community Nursery is a homely and welcoming nursery situated in the heart of Primrose Hill, Camden NW1. Founded in 1976, we have since grown into a full time and flexible provider of childcare for an average of 65 children in any given month.

  • We are registered to care for children aged 6 months to 5 years old
  • We are open from 7.30am- 6.30pm, 51 weeks a year, and offer part-time and full-time places

Partnering in childcare funding

We’re glad to announce exciting changes in the early years funding! Starting in April 2024, eligible working parents of two-year-olds can access 15 hours a week of free childcare. From September 2024, this support extends to parents of children aged nine months to three years. By September 2025, eligible parents can receive 30 hours a week for children in this age group.

Whether you’re a working parent, self-employed, or currently on parental leave, these changes are designed to make early years education more accessible and affordable for all families.

My son started at Auden place in 2018 and stayed for a full 4 years until the day before he started school in 2022. Many of the staff who are there now in 2024, including the Nursery Manager, Nicola, have been there from when my son first started and I have no hesitation in recommending them all - my son has fond memories of their warmth, kindness and fun. My son greatly enjoyed weekly football, daily walks, forest school woodwork, music, dance and yoga sessions as well as all the trips they take the children on - to London Zoo, theatre performances, Chinatown, softplays and boat trips on the Thames. The staff helped my son become a very confident and independent little boy who can regulate his emotions well so he was more than ready for school. He had also been fed such high quality and varied food there that we had no worries about him ever being a fussy eater, which certainly would have been the case otherwise! He still talks about Mary’s yummy food now!

Thank you for looking after me in this wonderful place, with so much care and love. Auden Place is an absolutely magical place, we will take it and keep in our hearts forever as we are sure that Ilan couldn’t have had a better start in early childhood education.
Seeing Ilan happy every morning, ringing the bell and wanting to come in meant so much to us. He grew, he developed, he laughed, he cried, he saw, he learned, he was loved, cared for and had so much fun. We’ll miss you dearly and we will be forever grateful.
