At Auden Place, all extra-curricular activities and trips are included in the core fees, meaning all children can participate in everything on offer and there are no hidden costs for parents. Fundraising initiatives throughout the year help to pay for these activities and the generous support of parents who volunteer their time to accompany trips also makes it possible to offer them at no extra charge to all children.

Activities

Below are sample programmes of the extra-curricular activities for the different rooms. For some activities the children are divided into groups and participate at different times throughout the term.

The nursery usually has duck or chicken eggs to hatch.
Plus we have rabbits now on the roof garden.

Trips

The nursery is lucky to be located close to the beautiful parks of Primrose Hill and Regent’s Park, and the playground in Chalcot Square and the Regent’s Canal are also just a few minutes’ walk away, making it easier to take even the smallest children out regularly to engage with the outside world. As well as the parks we have daily visits to the post office, local supermarkets, the neighbourhood library or nearby London Zoo. We go out in all weather (apart from the most extreme!)

We make the most of all the cultural highlights London has to offer.

Here are some of the activities and destinations that the children visited in 2023:

  • London Aquarium
  • Regular visits to London Zoo
  • Science Museum
  • Talacre Soiftplay
  • Visit to China Town
  • Discovery Centre Stratford
  • London Transport museum
