At Auden Place Community Nursery, we take our safeguarding responsibilities very seriously, prioritising the safety, health and wellbeing of all our children and staff. Volunteers and visitors receive clear safeguarding information and the wider school
community is provided with safeguarding information relevant to them. We do everything possible to keep our children safe and secure in a variety of ways:

  • We ensure all staff have undergone the necessary recruitment and criminal checks. These checks also apply to all volunteers and students who work in our nursery.
  • All visitors to the school are required to sign in upon entering the building and are given a visitor’s sticker. No visitor will be allowed to work alone with children without a current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate.
  • We have a secure entry system which is monitored by the management team in the office. Staff within the rooms are allowed to buzz parents and carers in at drop off and pick up times.
  • All staff receive safeguarding training every year. All staff have received Prevent training.
  • If you have any safeguarding concerns about anyone at Auden Place Community Nursery, please call 020 7586 0098 and ask to speak to one of the Safeguarding Team.
